Smarter IT Operations through Actionable Insights

Despite the enthusiasm of business leaders for “digital transformation” and “innovative customer experience,” it is the responsibility of Information Technology operations to see to it that everything actually works as planned. IT teams are managing increasingly complex, hybrid, and distributed environments as the transformation takes hold, including both traditional on-premises systems and modern infrastructures built from containers, multiple clouds, and virtualized networks.

To keep up with the ever-changing nature of the modern world is difficult because of the massive amount of operational data that is generated. A high rate of redundancy and alarm fatigue is further compounded by the fact that monitoring data is generated by a wide range of disparate tools.

There are many more obstacles to overcome. Team members must look for problems in each system separately because of the lack of unified visibility across hybrid environments. As a result, rather than anticipating issues, they are forced to deal with them as they arise.

When triage calls drag on for minutes or even hours, the customer suffers.

Mirat.ai is an AI and ML AIOps platform that provides actionable insights to help Information Technology Operations management improve the performance of business-related service offerings. Traditional monitoring practices can be transformed into holistic observability that shows how business services interact with the supporting infrastructure using these platforms. It was predicted that by 2024, one-third of companies would be using observability methods.

Mirat.ai is an operational platform to better support monitoring environments with more complexity; the new platform version focuses on enhancing operator workflows and incorporating more service-driven monitoring while also boosting data processing and analytics performance.

Mirat.ai includes the following new features.

Eliminating the root cause of a problem makes finding and fixing it much easier.

Improved alarm triage and noise reduction features are included in the new release. The platform uses ML-driven algorithms to reduce alarm noise, find root causes, reduce ticket volume, and automate ticket management. Using “Situations,” a grouping of related alarms, it is possible to identify patterns of problems that may have an impact on the company’s health and performance.

Enhanced “Situations” cluster on a set of Spectrum root cause and symptom alarms to determine whether a problem is isolated or part of a larger cross-domain issue involving applications, infrastructure and network. It is now possible for network operators to use MIRAT as their primary triage tool without having to manually update the ITSM platform by synchronizing situation annotations with ServiceNow tickets.

Using deep triage to find problems more quickly

This release introduces a new feature called Monitored Inventory. Contextual launches to services, alarms, and performance analytics link the workflows while providing a unified view of entities across domains. As well as a device or service, users can also schedule maintenance windows.

Additional improvements include a larger scale of metrics, as well as the ability to configure metrics for anomaly detection through a new intuitive UI, which is made possible by an improved anomaly detection algorithm.

Hybrid cloud teams benefit from service-driven  Information Technology Operations management because they can work together more effectively.

Key business or IT services can be assessed in terms of both their health and their availability by using MIRAT. It’s easier to see how your service environment is performing, predict capacity utilization, and pinpoint specific design or architectural issues when you have a larger picture. For example, a service’s alarms or performance analytics can now be accessed in the context of a service without having to scroll through the entire topology.

MIRAT’s NetOps service topology can be imported into the new version, which provides a higher-level hierarchy view for visualizing the impact of localized network issues on other services.

Observability at scale is made possible by cross-domain dashboards.

There are new visual dashboards for metrics and alarms which unify visibility across your existing monitoring tools. For the first time, all the components of the digital chain are being correlated to see how the technology stack is connected.

Health dashboards and self-monitoring probes are two of the many features introduced by MIRAT, which improve data ingestion and consolidation performance and availability. Zabbix, Netcool, Google Cloud, and a slew of other services are now pre-integrated.

Proactive management can be achieved with a “single pane of glass” that eliminates war rooms and finger-pointing associated with tool sprawl. An all-in-one resource eliminates the need for multiple groups tasked with pulling data from various sources and entering it into spreadsheets or presentations. A variety of viewpoints are available to users, allowing them to get the most relevant information at the right time and at the right depth.

The time to act has arrived.

Standing still will not keep you ahead of the competition. End-to-end observability will be a critical strategic capability for digital operations in the not-too-distant future.

Technology initiatives need to be tied directly into organizational goals, rather than simply bringing IT and the rest of the business together. Information Technology operations and the business both require the ability to monitor, understand, and utilize large amounts of data. As a result, AIOps platforms like MIRAT are becoming increasingly critical. It’s a good idea to reevaluate your monitoring methods right now.

FAQs

What are AIOPs?

AIOPs refers to technology platforms with multiple layers that use analytics and machine learning to automate and improve Information Technology operations (ML). Information Technology operations automation platforms collect a wide range of information from various Information Technology operations automation tools and devices so that they can identify and respond to problems in real time while still providing traditional historical analytics.

What is Network Monitoring?

When it comes to network monitoring, it gives network administrators the data they need to know whether or not a network is performing to its full potential in real time. Proactively identifying problems and optimising efficiency are all possible with networking monitoring software.

What is ITSM?

IT service management is focused on meeting the needs of customers and providing them with IT services (ITSM). An important part of ITSM is to continually improve processes and procedures. Providing IT as a service is the central tenet of ITSM. An IT support service that goes beyond the norm is offered here.
